These terms govern the RootLock Creator Program (the "Program"), operated by Apexium Marketing LLC ("RootLock," "we," "us"). By applying to or participating in the Program you agree to these terms, in addition to the RootLock Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to receive payments in USD. Applying does not guarantee acceptance; we review each application and may accept, decline, or later remove any creator at our discretion. You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of RootLock.
Videos submitted to the Program must be created by you, feature RootLock truthfully, and comply with the rules of the platform they're posted on. Content may not be misleading, may not make claims about RootLock's features that aren't accurate, and may not target or exploit minors, use bots, purchased views, engagement pods, view farms, or any other artificial inflation of view counts. We may reject any submission and remove any creator for content or conduct we reasonably consider harmful to the RootLock brand.
Because you are compensated for this content, U.S. law (FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255) requires you to clearly disclose the material connection in every video and caption — for example #ad, #sponsored, or the platform's built-in paid-partnership label. Submissions without proper disclosure will be rejected.
Approved videos earn at the per-1,000-views rate shown in your dashboard at the time views are verified and credited. View counts are verified by us from the public platform counter; only verified views are payable, and our verification is final. Referral bonuses are credited when a creator who signed up with your referral code has their first video approved. Rates and bonuses may change at any time; changes apply to views verified after the change, never retroactively to amounts already credited.
You may request a payout once your available balance meets the minimum shown in your dashboard. Payouts are sent in USD to the payout method you provide (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle); you are responsible for keeping those details accurate. We aim to send payouts within 7 business days of a request. We may withhold or reverse amounts credited in error or earned through fraud or artificial view inflation.
You are responsible for your own taxes. For U.S. creators, if your payments reach the IRS reporting threshold in a calendar year, we will request a completed Form W-9 before further payouts and will issue a Form 1099 as required by law.
You keep ownership of your content. By submitting a video to the Program you grant RootLock a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to share, embed, and reuse that video (including in RootLock's own marketing and ads) with attribution to your handle. This license survives for content created while in the Program.
You may leave the Program at any time by emailing creators@rootlock.app; we'll pay out any verified balance above zero within 30 days. If your account is terminated for fraud or material breach of these terms, unpaid amounts attributable to that breach are forfeited.
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance.
